In bocca al lupo
In bocca al lupo isa project proposed in 2002 by Liliana Moro for the 3rd International Sculpture Award of the Piemonte Region in Italy, promoted by the Piemonte Region and organized by the Association Piemontese Arte.
The competition was addressed to European artists born after 1955 and had the purpose of identifying three projects to be realized in the form of large-scale sculptures in three public areas in the cities of Savigliano, Pinerolo and near Lake Orta.
The project included the creation of a large sculpture in the shape of a wolf in the public park of Savigliano, which could be accessed through a spiral staircase, as the artist remarks in an interview published on "Flash Art" in 2012:
In bocca al lupo, passing from the stomach to the head up, two big eyes to watch the world! Proposed for a competition of sculptures in the park, it was thought to be 5 meters high; from an opening in the stomach and through a spiral staircase the visitor could climb the head and to the eyes looking out; I did not win and we're stuck in the studio. Here is the wolf that welcomes you in my studio[1].
