Metto in moto il prato e partiamo

Photos selected by the artist for the booklet to be printed and placed in the bedside tables

Marisaldi structures the project into two proposals: the first consists in the publication of a book of pictures to be placed in the bedside tables of the rooms of the parents of the children staying in the hospital (where ususally in hotels you can find the Bible).
The pictures were supposed to represent a particularly beautiful and relaxing place chosen by the artists themselves to offer a moment of escape to the parents of the young patients. In the documentation attached, we can see two images chosen by the artist and by Enrico Serotti, while the other images are not shown as addressed only to the parents of patients (therefore the artist decides not to show them even here). The project can be seen in reference to works such as Molte domande non hanno risposta (Many questions have no answers), 1997, and to the words that Roberto Daolio himself dedicated to this work: "a portrait / self-portrait of multiple identities and shimmering on the edge of desire".
The second proposal, Metto in moto il prato e partiamo (I put in motion the lawn and let’s go) is a textile bag with the title shown at the top, convertible into a chair: from the conversations with doctors in fact it emerged that children, paradoxically, were not happy to go back home where, away from entertainers, doctors and nurses, they felt lonely. This suitcase, filled with toys that the association collects and donates, was intended as a way to bring home a part of the experience of care.
In the project the artist highlights a characteristic that is often found in her work, that is taking inspiration from the reading of newspaper headlines, as in the recent installation entitled Dopolavoro (Premio Suzzara, 2013).
The project was not realized due to a series of economical, technical and logistic reasons.
