Ilaria Bignotti is PhD in “Theories and Art Histories”, IUAV University, Venice.
Ongoing positions:
- Scientific Coordinator of Paolo Scheggi Archive, Milan.
- Scientific Curator and Special Projects Manager of the Antonio Scaccabarozzi Archive, Milan.
- Scientific Director of the Francesca Pasquali Archive, Bologna.
- Adjunct Professor and Coordinator at the Academy of Fine Arts “SantaGiulia”, Brescia.
As free-lance curator, she worked with Museums, Institutions, and Galleries in Italy and abroad.
Ongoing projects by her curated: TAKE CARE, Business Museum CUBO-Unipol, Milan-Bologna (June-September 2019); Paolo Scheggi, Estorick Collection of Italian Modern Art, London (July-September 2019); Paolo Scheggi, Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb (September-October 2019); Antonio Scaccabarozzi, Roy Thuston, and Michael Brewster, Ca’ Pesaro, Venice (April 2020).
Her research areas concerning European art from Post-war to Seventies, and contemporary artistic languages with a particular focus on cultural geographies, resilience, processuality and site-specific.
