Scott King developed this project, CRASH!, together with historian and writer Matthew Worley on the occasion of the Map Marathon at the Serpentine Gallery.
A Better Britain consists of a volume containing twelve projects, originally published as a programme for the Serpentine Map Marathon in London in 2010. Each project is presented through an image created by Scott King using a deliberately “low-fi” collage aesthetic, accompanied by a text by Matthew Worley that contextualizes the proposal. Each project addresses a specific aspect of contemporary Britain through a utopian/dystopian, and often satirical proposition.
MoRE also conducted an interview with the authors about the projects, which was published on the museum’s website.
